How you can benefit
The work raises the natural vitality of the body’s system and can help resolve psycho-emotions held in body patterns, nervous system dysfunctions as well as muscular/skeletal difficulties and birth trauma.
Stresses, strains or tension tend to lodge in the body and can restrict the body’s functioning giving rise to problems over the years. These effects can be physical (ie. backpain, migraine or digestive disorders) and/or emotional (ie. anxiety or depression). This extremely gentle therapy uses no manipulation. The therapist listens, via the hands, to what is going on in your body and facilitates the body’s vital force to manifest and bring about intrinsic change and re-organisation. In this way the therapist identifies and treats pain or tensions held in the body.
Craniosacral therapy is so gentle that it is safe and suitable for people of all ages, from babies to the elderly, and also in fragile or acutely painful conditions. It is client led. Your body will set the pace of the work, so you will remain comfortable, in control and able to integrate the changes that occur.
Mothers and Babies
Craniosacral Therapy’s gentle approach makes it a very effective treatment for Pre and Post Natal women. The therapy helps to balance and support the mothers mind and body while she undergoes challenging emotional and physical changes following child birth. Furthermore it can help the mother return to normal by releasing the strains retained during pregnancy and labour thus allowing her to relax and enjoy the new baby.
Craniosacral therapy is well known for its effectiveness in treating babies and children.

I practice from busy clinics in East and West London, supporting mothers & babies, and people with a wide range of issues that often include:
musculo-skeletal pain, fatigue and exhaustion, stress and anxiety, nervous tension, depression, insomnia and poor sleep, chronic long term illness, low immunity, addictions, hormonal imbalance, digestive issues, headaches and migraines, spiritual distress, lack of connection and grounding.
I also specialise in working with women from vulnerable backgrounds.
For treatment, you will usually lie on a treatment couch, fully clothed, and experience the very light touch of the therapist’s hands. You may feel a deep sense of relaxation which usually lasts for the whole session and possibly become aware of heat, tingling, pulsations or other sensations. With subsequent treatments this sense of relaxation often extends into everyday life.
How does Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy work?
Craniosacral therapy is based on a number of findings that were highlighted by osteopaths more than 100 years ago. These findings show that in health, all cells in the body express a rhythmic movement fundamental to life – which has been called Primary Respiration. The full and balanced expression of Primary Respiration is fundamental to good health. Health is seen as something active, not just absence of disease. This intrinsic health, Primary Respiration, integrates all cellular and tissue function and is constantly working to maintain balance. It is the flow of life itself through the body.
Restrictions in the body’s functioning show up in the way that primary respiration is expressed. In treatment the therapist identifies any areas of stress or strain and encourages a restoration of subtle motion. As well as releasing the body’s tensions, this frees up the energy which the body was previously using to hold itself in contraction. So one of the benefits of the treatment is an increase in vitality, in the level of energy available, which can have far reaching consequences for increased physical, emotional and spiritual health in everyday life.
